WINTER

•  During the Christmas holidays the Planetary will be open also during the week.

  26th February - public lecture in the regional library of Aosta; third of a series of lectures on the subject  "Percorsi tra Astri e Particelle":

"La fisica delle astroparticelle Origine e evoluzione di una nuova disciplina scientifica", by professor Giorgio Bellettini (INFN/Pisa University).

 

SPRING

  24th and 25th April - special event in the Planetarium dedicated to the Hubble Space Telescope on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of its launching.

  14th May - public lecture in the regional library of Aosta; fourth of a series of lectures on the subject  "Percorsi tra Astri e Particelle":

"Perché le stelle brillano? La vera storia dell'astrofisica nucleare", by doctor Davide Cenadelli (Milan University).

  4th June - public lecture in the regional library of Aosta; fourth of a series of lectures on the subject  "Percorsi tra Astri e Particelle":

"Dall'acqua l'energia delle stelle per l'umanità del terzo millennio. La fusione nucleare controllata", by professor Enzo Bertolini (Director of the Clément Fillietroz Foundation).

 

SUMMER

26th / 30 July - Astronomy Summer School (7th edition)

Saint-Barthélemy – course on practical astronomy for teachers in one of Europe's best-equipped observatories. A professional refresher and general star gazing training course, organised with UAI and with the local education superintendency.

  12th / 13th August - "Etoiles et Musique"

Traditional date with the Perseids for an evening observation organised for the public.

  June / July / August - "Tournée d'été"

Lectures and observing sessions with the naked eye in different tourists resorts of the Aosta Valley.

 

•  10th-11th-12th August – Star Party, 19th edition of Italy 's longest running STAR PARTY, organised with UAI.

  18th / 19th September - “Astro-naturalistic   photography” Course

 

AUTUMN

  16th November - public lecture in the regional library of Aosta "D'AUTRES TERRES DANS L'UNIVERS? Quinze ans après la découverte de 51 Pegasi b", by professor Michel Mayor (Geneva university).
