WINTER

 

  During the Christmas holidays the Planetary will be open also during the week.

  25th February - public lecture in the regional library of Aosta; L'EQUAZIONE DEGLI ALIENI Che cosa dice la scienza sulla possibilità di vita nel cosmo " by doctor Andrea Bernagozzi, Scientific researcher, EU-ESF Grant c/o the Astronomical Observatory of the Autonomous Region of the Aosta Valley.

 

SPRING

 

  13th June- public lecture in the regional library of Aosta "La scoperta della prima pulsar doppia. Come un'astrofisica valdostana ha messo alla prova Einstein", by doctor Marta Burgay, Researcher c/o Cagliari Astronomical Observatory, member of the PulSE (Pulsar Science in Europe) international group and Member of the Clément Fillietroz Foundation's Scientific Committee).

 

SUMMER

 

  June / July / August - "Tournée d'été"

Lectures and observing sessions with the naked eye in different tourists resorts of the Aosta Valley.

25th / 29 July - Astronomy Summer School (8th edition) "I colori della luce".

Saint-Barthélemy course on practical astronomy for teachers in one of Europe's best-equipped observatories. A professional refresher and general star gazing training course organised with UAI and with the local education superintendency.

  12th / 13th August - "Etoiles et Musique"

Traditional date with the Perseids for an evening observation organised for the public.

 

 

AUTUMN

 

  23rd-24th-25th August Star Party, 20th edition of Italy 's longest running STAR PARTY, organised with UAI.

  9th September in the regional library of Aosta, " 'Son dunque soli innumerevoli e terre...' . Come trovare un pianeta abitabile" by doctor Mario Damasso, Scientific researcher, EU-ESF Grant c/o the Astronomical Observatory of the Autonomous Region of the Aosta Valley.

  5-14 settembre IESO 2011

International Earth Science Olympiad, Modena (Italy) 5-14 September 2011

The Clément Fillietroz Foundation has been involved in the organisation of the event.

 

  20th October public lecture in the regional library of Aosta "L'astrofisica delle alte energie e l'Italia. Buchi neri, nuclei galattici attivi, Gamma ray burst: nuovi occhi per cieli diversi" by professor  Guido Di Cocco, Director of INAF's "Strutture di Ricerca" department.
