“AGN” nuclei Galattici Attivi

Il Progetto Nuclei galattici attivi prevede la misura dell’emissione luminosa dalle regioni centrali di galassie lontane miliardi di anni luce, nell’ambito di un consorzio internazionale chiamato Whole Earth Blazar Telescope (WEBT), gestito da INAF-OATo e comprendente 41 centri di ricerca in tutto il mondo. Il progetto è stato temporaneamente sospeso alla fine del 2013 a causa dell’importante impegno in termini di personale, conoscenza e tempo dedicato al Progetto Pianeti extrasolari, e ora riprende la sua attività con l’osservazione di galassie Narrow-Line Seyfert 1.
